April 27th

Maples of Carmel water is on; spigots are ready for shared use.

Community Volunteer Day was a Great Success!!

A huge shoutout to our incredible neighbors who came out on April 25th for our Community Clean-Up Day!  Your dedication and energy truly made a difference in beautifying our neighborhood.  We are incredibly grateful to Marian Rutledge, Peggy Peretich, Emmett Polly, Ronnie Adler, Sharon Robinson, Jennifer Ingram, John Weidner, Britni Schultz, Kyle McLaughlin, Mary and Nate Goldstein, Mark and Angel Hall.  These individuals invested over 40+ man hours of hard work, saving our community an estimated $4,000 in budget costs.  Thank you for your selfless dedication to making our neighborhood a better place.  Lets keep the momentum going!

While it was a productive day, we were saddened that fellow neighbor Emmett Polly experienced a medical emergency.  Our thoughts are with him, and we wish him a very speedy recovery.

Building a safe, beautiful, and connected community

Thank you for your cooperation in responding favorably to any violation letters from the property manager.  Violation letters are meant to support fairness across the community. Without consistent follow‑through on our shared rules, appraisers may see greater risk in the long‑term health of the community, making neglected condos harder to finance.  As our board consists of volunteers, we hold ourselves to the same rules and regulations as all homeowners.  Should you witness a violation, please report it to Danette  at dmarkovich@indyami.com to submit a formal complaint.

A BIG THANK YOU to the HOMEOWNERS who built NEW FENCES, REFRESHED THEIR GARAGE DOORS and RESPONDED to improvement requests. HOORAY!!

REMINDER: OUR COMMUNITY SPEED LIMIT IS 10 MPH. KEEP OUR CHILDREN, WALKERS, AND PETS SAFE.

If You’re Not Using It, Loving It, or Even Remembering You Have It…Its Time To Let It Go!!  REMINDER:  Spring Clean-Up Day is on Saturday, April 25 at 10:00 AM. In the event of rain, the clean-up will be held on Sunday, April 26 at 10:00 AM.  A community dumpster will be available for resident use from April 23-April 30 during the clean up, located in the public parking area near 11659 Buttonwood Dr.

Important Notice About Waterline Coverage

The HOA is responsible for the waterlines to each unit. Residents are asked to disregard any solicitations from insurance companies offering separate waterline coverage, as this is already managed by the HOA.

A Simple Fix Helps Prevent Increase in HOA Fees

As the community has gotten older, our yard lights have aged too. Replacement won’t be cheap, but there are easy steps we can take right now. A bit of black satin paint, a nine‑dollar crossbar if you’re missing one, and straightening any leaning lights can all help. Working together keeps the neighborhood looking cared for, strengthens home values, and helps prevent big increases in HOA fees. Every HOA call costs at least ninety $90 so these small fixes really add up. Also, check out TIPS about lightbulbs replacements.

Tips

Wet & Forget Outdoor is a non-acidic, bleach-free cleaner that removes green and black stains (moss, mold, mildew, algae) from exterior surfaces without scrubbing or pressure washing. Simply attach to the end of your hose and spray on porches, patios, driveway and sidewalks.  Allowing it to work over time with wind and rain it provides protection for up to one year or longer.

Did you know you can get a lightbulb with a built in sensor?  It turns on at dusk and off at dawn.  Perfect for porches, yards, garages, and more -   they only cost $7 to $10 at most hardware stores.

Pool Opening for the Season:

We’re excited to announce that the Maples of Carmel outdoor swimming pool will be opening Memorial Day Weekend for the summer season! Final preparations and maintenance are underway to ensure everything is ready for residents to enjoy.  Please watch for an email from Danette at AMI with details about access, hours, and any updated rules for the season.  Let’s get ready for another great summer at the pool!

American Flag Display in the Neighborhood

The Maples of Carmel community proudly displays the American flag throughout the neighborhood. The flags add a welcoming and patriotic touch to our streets, reflecting the pride and unity of our residents. Thank you to everyone who helps maintain and display the flags that enhance the beauty of our community.

Community Appreciation:  A Heartfelt Thank you to Sharon!

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to board member, Sharon Robinson for her outstanding contributions to our community.  Her efforts in maintaining and enhancing our neighborhood have not gone unnoticed, and we are incredibly appreciative of her dedication and hard work.     Contribution highlights:

Wrought Iron Fence: Sharon took the initiative to paint the wrought iron fence at the guard house, ensuring it remains both beautiful and protected against the elements.

Fire Hydrants: With safety and visibility in mind Sharon also painted the fire hydrants throughout our community, helping them stand out in case of emergencies.

Mailboxes: In addition to the above Sharon cleaned and restored the mailboxes ensuring that they are in  excellent condition for all residents.
